Nice to meet you in PA Gene!

    Gene,

It was great to meet up with you in PA. Love the hair!

Dr. Painter kicked my arse for the week.

Off to digest the material presented.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

    Hey Dale!

Yes, I'm scheduled to be there. Jim's been after me to do another writing workshop and another sword workshop, but I'm leaning towards doing a xingyi spear one instead of the sword.

    Gentlemen,

You have both given me 3 more reasons to attend the festival again this year, can not wait. Last year was my first time there and Gene's seminars were outstanding, I was the heavy set Navy guy who is still attempting Xingyi, beem checking the sight regularly fort registration info. And I have been reading alot on the yahoo groups posted by Mr. Dugas so I am definitely interested in his seminars also. Already dropped my leave chit for June, looking forward to it.

Sorry to hop on this chat,

    V/R

    Hey Joshua!

Thanks for your kind words on my work. You'll be glad to know that the video for that 5 Element Xingyi Sword will be available by April. In fact, I'm just putting the finishing touches on some promotional material for it now. I'm planning to the the 5 Element Xingyi Staff/Spear this year, so you'll have to check that out. The video for that will be ready by next month too.

    Gene,
Thanks for the info, I have been looking and waiting for these since you told us about them. Hopefully I will be able to get them before I head up to PA. Has there been any definite info on the festival yet, I have seen dates but besides yourself, Mr. Dugas and of course the week intensive with Dr. Painter I have not found any info.
    Thanks,
    Joshua Durham

    Joshua,

They will have the info out very soon. The people who set up the festival do it themselves pretty much and have their hands tied getting it all hammered out.

I look forward to meeting you at the festival. I will have my Iron Palm DVD as well as lots of bottles of various medicines with me for sale.

Are you going to attend the weeklong Bagua seminar as well?

    Be well,

    Dale Dugas

    Dale,
Thanks for the info, been letting myself get too anxious. I will definintely be participating in your workshops, I have always been curious about these types of trainings but have never had the chance to train in them. I will be definintely looking for your table when I am there and also look forward to meeting you. My leave chit for the Navy has already been approved so I will get to stay for the post week also. Have absolutely no experience in Bagua with the exception of a workshop with Dr. Painter last year which I absolutely loved so I will be there .
    Respectfully,
    Joshua Durham

    J & J

Jake: I study xingyi with Tony Chen. Nowadays, I focus on xingyi sword mostly.

Joshua: We've announce the new videos in our May June issue which is currently at press. That issue will be on stand in the beginning of April so those videos will be available at that time. We are releasing four xingyi DVDs: 5 Element Staff & Spear, 5 Element Sword, 12 Animal Staff & Spear and 12 Animal Sword. These are all under the auspices of Grandmaster Liang Shou-yu and feature Helen Liang, Tony Chen and He Tao. I was just looking at one of the near-to-final versions of the 12 Animal sword DVD.
