Dude, you can get EXCELLENT chinese food in many places. You just have to know where to look.

There's a possible Ryu joke about eating Chinese that I can't bring myself to put together.

    Yawl thank me later.

Lately I've been into Vietnamese food.

The crap that many schools do is not the crap I was taught or train in or teach.

Dam nit... it made sense when it was running through my head.

Whenever I got and hit a place I first check if natives of the country eat there.

When you see Chinese having a Birthday party in there the food should be authentic enough.

Said that when I was in Hong Kong I never ate inside a proper restaurant.

Night time market and food cooked there. yumm.
Need to go there again flights are dirt cheap.

    Return flight, 2 nights = 250$

Training not a prob too student of Sifu teaches there.

    Cheers.

    Cool

    ~ Tripe is yummy food.
~ Learn Chinese and order in Chinese and you have a better chance of getting good Chinese food in most restaurants.
~ Best Chinese Restaurants in the US seem to be in Arcadia/Monterey Park area of Southern California. I walked into one once with two of my friends and out of about 500 customers I was the ONLY white dude. I got a LOT of looks. After people heard me talking Chinese with my friends and the waiter, they stopped staring.
~ It seems that most Chinese food outside of China takes on the characteristics of the host nation. Chinese food in the Mid East has a very Mid-Eastern flair too it. In Turkey it is very much influenced by the Turks. Same for Brasil, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, Colombia, and Korea. (Ordered dinner in Brasil once at a Chinese restaurant, and got black bean soup served with the rice. In Korea it is just about impossible to get anything served without KimChee!)
~ Vietnamese food is in the running for the best food in my book. Turkish and Italian are a close second.
~ Darn! Now I am hungry...

    Peace,
