Standing on the spot jumping.....how high do your feet come off the floor?
I can jump about 2 feet at the moment i think.....
I noticed it had decreased when I was playing ball this morning.....
Any good ways of training to increasing it?

I'm 6 foot one, and when I jump, my head almost hits a 9 foot ceiling.
I will crush my enemies, see them driven before me, then hit their wimminz with a Tony Danza. - Vash
whoa that sounds like quite a big jump.

Haven't tried it yet, but I probably will in a few months. Have a look:

Thanks for the link.
After my triathlon, I had planned to get into a phase for jumping.
I have a friend in TKD who can jump pretty high. He's 5'4" and jumps so he can fly over me--I'm also almost 5'4".
Surrender yourself to nature and be all that you are.
Can you dunk? I haven't been able to yet. I'm 6'1" too.Originally posted by shaolin kungfu

well given his head nearly hits a 9 foot ceiling and hes 6'1, I'd say YES he should be able to, his arms would be about 2 1/2 feet or so (given the height) that would mean he could probably touch an 11 foot marker - which would be more than enough to be able to dunk
im 6'2 with a 2 foot jump (when standing still, with a run it may be about 2 1/2) and I can dunk 2 hands, probably not as nicely as him though

i'm working on 6.....inches
SoulJah - your math is off - because the arm doesn't begin at the top of the head, it begins at your shoulder.
I'm sure I can jump two feet up (measured from the heels), but I definitely can't dunk - at least last time I checked. I plan on changing that. Back when I was trying to dunk, I was only a couple inches from being able to do it. My legs are stronger now, but I've been practicing jumping and basketball alot less...
Now if you mean two foot jump measured from the bottom of the toes - yeah I prolly can't. I'm going to have to test my vertical and get back to you guys.
I am 5' 11" I can dunk. I don't how many inches that is.

I can dunk. If it's a very light biscuit and a very short cup of tea.Originally posted by fa_jing
