    Heavy Bag

I have a problem, I want to get a heavy bag but I can't hang it on the ceiling cause it won't hold that much weight. Is there another way to place a heavy bag?

There's a stand you can buy. It's pretty big, though.

    Aren't there standing heavy bags?

if you have concrete walls , you could try getting a wall mount. I don't know if you will be able to find one suitable for a heavy bag in stores , so you might have to seek out a welder.

If you have dry wall, or dont want holes in your walls then i recommend that you get a different type of bag,and why not the standing bag...although Ive never used it so I cant Vouch for how good it is.If its the same one im thinking , its supposed to be filled with water.

I'm in a similar position, I would like a heavy bag for home , but nowhere to put it.

that thing just looks ready to break. i liked wavemasters back in my muay thai days, but i never gave them a truly professional beating, so i'm don't know how well they do against a more robust round kick.

Do you have a garden? What about hanging it from a tree?

I'm thinking about getting something similar to this one. It has a speed bag platform too. However, if you plan on your h bag going heavier than 100 lbs (You euros can do your own bloody conversion) it won't do.

This is the actual one I'll probably get:

I might have to get something like that. I put my bag up and after a month or so of use it came crashing down.

    oh well.

When I lived at home I had a heavy bag that was anchored into a support beam for my parents house. This was back before I trained, and I just used to throw punches at it for the hell of it. It was great stress relief, and there was no problem with it coming down, the problem was that when I would hit it the entire house would shake. You could hear me hitting it 2 floors above where I was. My parents were not happy that I bought the heavy bag.

As for the Wavemaster, we have a few in my school, but we haven't used any of them yet. I'll try some out on Thursday and ask my sifu's opnion of them fro training and I'll let you know what I think.
