    O/T: another B I G question

ok, just got home from sydney and university and found my dad is using AOL as his isp Now, is there ANY way to still dial up using the AOL connection but NOT, i repeat NOT use the actual AOL prog to browse and stuff? Its friggin' awful

any advice would be most appreaciated (and no, i already thought of bashing my dad!)

if AOL is connected, i'm pretty sure you can minimize it and use the internet just like you were connected another way. whatever web browser you normally use should still work, as well as instant messenger and any other internet programs you use.

    at least it used to

Get Netzero for $9.95 a month, and ditch AOL
Those that are the most sucessful are also the biggest failures. The difference between them and the rest of the failures is they keep getting up over and over again, until they finally succeed.

are you, like, sure he's your dad?

I thought AOL usage was genetic.

"George never did wake up. And, even all that talking didn't make death any easier...at least not for us. Maybe, in the end, all you can really hope for is that your last thought is a nice one...even if it's just about the taste of a nice cold beer."

"If you find the right balance between desperation and fear you can make people believe anything"

"Is enlightenment even possible? Or, did I drive by it like a missed exit?"

    It's simpler than you think.

    I could be completely wrong"

The only solution is to kill your father and hide the body.

Hey Dez, how was the flight home? Hope you had a good time in Sydney.

    Dawood.

Next time head for more northern shores, I am sure that some of the KFO guys over here will also welcome you.

FYI, no luck of me hitting your shores soon again, once the SARS thingy is over more trips to Shangai will be possible though.

    Cheers.

LC: someday i would love to... i had *other* reasons for coming to sydney than kung fu though

Hope the sars thing is all sorted soon, arriving in kuala lumpur was not exactly the nicest thing as there were still plenty of people wearing masks and being screened etc.

    Dawood.

You will always be welcome, same to the guys down under and many other KFO folks.

Quiet a few things of interest over here and not all MA related either.

    Cheers.
