    N!xau dead

The !kungsan actor who starred in The Gods Must Be Crazy part one and two died recently. His story is one of the most interesting of any movie star, raising big ethical and anthropological issues about filmaking.

Why on this media forum, you ask? N!xau was my third choice for top Bruce Lee Impersonator ever. Check out Crazy Safari.

I saw one of his obits. There was one line there that just shook me:

"Nothing that is important to us was important to him."
All my fight strategy is based on deliberately injuring my opponents. -
    Crippled Avenger

"It is the same in all wars; the soldiers do the fighting, the journalists do the shouting, and no true patriot ever get near a front-line trench, except on the briefest of propoganda visits...Perhaps when the next great war comes we may see that sight unprecendented in all history, a jingo with a bullet-hole in him."

First you get good, then you get fast, then you get good and fast.

    importance

He let the money he made for the first film, GMBC, blow away in the wind. He had no concept of paper money. For the second film, he asked for money to build some structure for his family.
