    Butterflies

Why do you get butterflies in your stomach before a fight?

It's the "fight or flight" adrenaline rush

Yes, and it's normal. It is not a sign that you're weak or not ready to rumble. Learn to channel that energy into your techniques--don't let it sap your resolve. Most fights are won by the mind, not muscle. Stay focused and believe in yourself.

Then sucker punch the b@st@ard. :D

Before I have a fight comming up (like now, I am fighting in the Iowa Challenge 10 Feb.) I get butterflies about a week out. Have trouble sleeping. All that is normal. It also has to do because deep down we always wonder (atleast I do) if you have trained hard enough to handle the fight. So it is nothing to worry about. Just take a deep breath, relax and it's all good.

Pain is temporary, glory is for ever.
