for me, watching a female martial artist do forms be it wushu or traditional, and do it well , powerful fluid , graceful, its such a beautiful thing to watch. with men its good to watch but not as captivating.
i think crouching tiger hidden dragon was a huge success because they playeed alot upon the femal role and strengths.
the only dominant male charachter was li mu bi , and other than that women. a great show.

I think thats a pretty accurate statement , I've said it before that I think women in todays world should play a more active role in martial arts to empower themselves. Some don't agree, alot of it could be lazyness , but as a martial artist that is my bias.

In that case I think as I said, most women don't think fighting is fun. I think they find light contact sparring fun but most women go away when they realize you gotta go up a level all the time. I'm a bit confused what are we discussing here?

For a simple answer,I think it boils down to probably literally age old biological "roles" determining such characters.
I´m not necessarily trying to pinpoint certain gender models (as sociocultural) but while everyone might not appreciate it,I think they´re written in stone (flesh) to a certain degree.There just seems to be too much hard evidence to support such a position.

I hate wushu forms. And as for the tradicional forms, i prefer females doing dirty dance close to me instead.
