I'm not sure, but I think northern white crane might be the style developed is Szechuan Province. I really don't know, I'm just taking a shot in the dark.

    Baak hok kuen

Everyone know the whole Ape/Crane legend right?
Well lions roar split in to two destinctive style one being White crane.
Brought by tibetian monks into China sometime in the 1400.Adapted by Shaolin Monks (But then, isn't every style apparently?)
    Taught to the imperial guard.
Employs more high kicks and sweeps than the southern /fukien style.

okay i finally found out what we doi at our school

we start off with northern long fist, with a basic stance form, yi lu twan, moi fa, then we do some cannon. we learn a couple different styles to create a good base so we can recognize moves easily and learn forms quicker.

but basically its all shaolin or based on.

I am studying all styles and none. Big on aikdiko(for grapples, ) taekwon do ( for footwork base), ninjitsu ( for evasive manouvoures and qigon style) also big on wing chun dim mak and currently seeking nthn shaolin for expansion on above. Also have 20 yrs + worth of formal applicative health, fitness and nutritional study...but loving to study all styles as they present.
