The longer you stretch, the weaker your muscles become. As one study author says, "A warm up should improve performance, not worsen it."
Did the studies touch on dynamic stretching as well?

Well it isn't useless...I know if I don't stretch I am way more likely to pull or tear a muscle than if I do....

IMO, stretching = 压腿 static stretching + 溜腿 dynamic stretching.

Old Chinese saying said, "压腿不溜腿,一世冒失鬼 - If you only do static stretching and not include dynamic stretching, you are stupid."

Press to success. Human Physiology point of view to analyze the press is legs, hips and buttocks muscles static stretching, so as to develop the muscles to stretch and build muscle elastic potential energy, contraction of the muscles can have more power and faster speed of shrinkage. Common methods are both press and press. Although the movement is simple, but you must properly. Should follow from low to high, from easy to difficult principles, should not have pretty Flash, causing unnecessary muscle and soft tissue injuries. (Median) legs, for example, body-side to support (support height to chest), Toe is crushed legs, legs naturally straight, vertical waist, open hip, upperparts being pressure pressure vibration on the leg side. The gist is that vertical waist, loose Hip Hip, exhibition, and paused for a few seconds when you push himself to the limit. So on the practice. Pitfalls are hip muscle tension, hips never opened, your hips are pressed, so that the pressure is only your leg muscles and ligaments, muscles and ligaments of the hip didn't evolve, legs, hips, is dead, stiff, with smooth or cause. So in the legs is very important to note not your hips and reduce hip, otherwise never live legs.
Swung his legs after leg and kick, folk known as "slanting legs". Fist proverb says "**** no slip leg, one sad sack." Leg stretch the leg muscles static pressure, aimed at improving muscle fibers stretch the length of the growth shrinks distances, thereby gaining greater elastic potential energy. Collapse the leg is dynamic stretching of leg muscles, aiming to enhance the speed of contraction of the leg muscles and joint flexibility. We all know that when quality measure, and faster, more power, and dynamic stretching exercises for legs is therefore indispensable. Common in martial arts play a Front kick, side kick, bomb kick, Crescent kick, kick cross Inside Crescent kick, the gist of which is support leg upright, kicking leg should be straight, collapse to evoke sensitivity when falling, be sure to kick high, higher is better.

You mean ballistic stretching? NO, and I think they are older than a year too. Olympians use heated blankets now and many do not use the prolonged static stretches because it impedes the muscles ability to contract quickly which is where the powah come from.

Ballistic stretching is not static or slow.

slow static stretches, such as yoga are useful for bone alignment though.

Zink's stuff is pretty ridiculous and according to the bonafide system holders, he's full of it. So, I'll take it from The Chans who have the real stuff that looks absolutely nothing like the ass staring and tumbling with no applications junk that Zink does.
Kung Fu is good for you.

The big deal is that Paulie Zink is so much better. And also that he is so much more talented than certain other people, who feel embarrassed. This is also the basic reason why people with very low skill slagg off contemporary wushu - they are embarrassed, and have to protect, via some kind of cognitive self deception, their illusion of being highly skilled. Simples.

And then there is the other factor - that other people who haven't got real "lineages", but have very little else either, need to distract attention from that by attacking Paulie Zink - who doesn't actually need one.
