    Unhappy Sun Jian Yun- R.I.P.

I thought it would have been posted by now, but as of the week of Oct 2nd, Sun Jian Yun, Sun style pioneer and daughter of Sun Lu Tang, has passed. She will be dearly missed and will for forever remain in our hearts.

I'm sure a more official statement will be put out, but I felt that the news should be posted.

    Peace

Condolences to the students, friends and families.

I hadn't heard this yet. Truly a great loss.

Very sad news and a deep loss for the internal community as a whole.
Up and down, forward and backward, left and right, its all the same. All of this is done with the mind, not externaly.

    A true loss

Thanks illusionfist for getting the word out.

Heard this from Sifu last week. She has been battling illness for a while. I hear she was still vibrant to the last days.

A great resource and connection to the past has left.

and hasayfu mentioned it to me...

...then we talked to China, plus a few related masters.

I took privates from Sigung Sun in '95 and '96. She was still very quick, especially when it came to Bagua. The first article that I ever wrote for Kung Fu Magazine, back in my freelance days, was on Sun style way back in our very first special issueTai Chi Special - DEC-JAN 1997. I've been thinking we should activate that one on the website archive.

    Sun lights the way...

    Brother Gene,

I just wanted to thank you on behalf of Sun style practicioners and admirers who already feel the loss of Sigung Sun for your article you posted on the e-zine http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezin...hp?article=416

I can't seem to find much info on her unfortunate passing and your article was a jewel of comfort and rememberance.
