    'The big nasty supplement thread

Just curious who is taking what supplements, and what each does for you.
Ive been seeing some good results from regular old creatine, and whey protein... I know there is some better stuff out there tho, so tell me!

I really only use protein, meal shakes, glutamine, creatine, fish oil, vitamin c, and a multi-vitamin on a regular basis.

I've experimented with Tribex, ZMA, 1-Test, NO2, Xenadrine, Andro stacks, Vanadyl Sulfate, Yohimbe, and just ordered a couple bottles of Hot Rox. I've had successes and failures with these products, but nothing really significant. Basically, I haven't seen any good results leading me to prolonged use from supplementing anything other than the basic nutrients (carbs, protein, fat) and vitamins.

I take nothing. I've always been curious about creatine, though. Will it help me doing PTP? When I'm not really close to failure except on the last day of a cycle? Also, does it give you the ****s? If so, how bad?

Well, after reading Ford's stuff, I guess I do take multivitamins, ibuprofen, fish oil and calcium. The last three are for my shoulder. My GP said I could take ibuprofen daily forever with no side effects, but I try not to unless I need to.

I drink a whey protein shake about twice a week on average. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Occasional multivitamins, very rarely some herbal stuff. But it does me good.

Lots of good natural food. My results are as good as anyone else's.

Protein Shakes, garleec (garlic in a pill for no stinky breath), multivitamin, glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate, multivitamin, and a teaspoonfull of honey and homemade hotsauce (separate doses, of course).

Was thinking about creatine, but I'm not a fan of having to take anything requiring a loading period. Plus, I'm not fond of the idea of water retention, especially going for that ripped look.

    Anyone heard of celltech?
Its a newer type of creatine with some sort of "cell volumizing agent"... Read a review in one of the muscle mags... seems to be good... anyone tried it, or know anything about it?

    creatine

I experimented with creatine and experienced sharp pains in my neck during the loading phase. I was told this was a bad sign and that I should have stopped then, but that was long after the fact. Anyway, I got through the loading phase, and while it did give me an 'up' while I was training hard, it wasn't enough to warrant the expense and the daily regimen of dosage, so I stopped.

Glucosamine & Chondritin are a miracle mix for me. I also imbibe calcium citrate as I don't care to drink protenized cow sweat.

I also down an Omega 3 mix, a multi-vitamin, and an anti-oxidant mix.

I did the research on most protein mixes, and discovered you sh!t most of it out before it can really help much - unless you are a really crazy muscle builder.

Nothing too fancy. I also use some CMA formulas for winter training when i travel to cold places.
