    Chuka Shaolin

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this style.

No real reason besides interest sparked by a book.

    Peace.

    Hi Vash,

Get the first book, Phoenix Eye Fist: A fighting Art of South China.
That one is a real gem. Its format should have been the standard for all future Chinese martial arts books. It did something that few martial arts books did -- teach.

    You will love it.

I've got it. Excellent layout, great instructive text. And the pictures, though black and white, actually help in the understanding of the material. Maybe it's just me, but I've seen a great many books wherein the pics just confuse the instruction.

    Vash,

I agree with you. Another well formatted book, though out of print, is Taikiken by Kenichi Sawaii. I was able to use the uprooting methods immediately. One more would be James Yim Lee's Wing Chun Kung Fu. I used to enjoy slap boxing when that came out. My skills improved from reading it.
