Has anyone seen the TWC empty hand forms, the complete speech made by Sifu William Cheung, plus a demonstration of cross arm chi sau that was edited from the VTAA VCD's?
No, but I´ve seen a different thing on the other forum:
... click here....
Cheers,
T.
I don't pay any attention to things like that, period. I'm an adult and don't involve myself name calling and such. Some people have the need to get attention. I don't.

Phil- I believe that I have seen that VCD once. What did you have in mind?
On the infamous VTAA "s JKD(!) forum... everyone gets their minutes of fame. In the cited link Wong Shon Leung and Ho Kam Ming are mentioned in passing. They need no "defending".
I would urge Phil to ignore the post.
In another post and from time to time Augustine Fong apparently is mentioned in passing. Again... needs no defending.
I never respond in that forum. Its largely ,perhaps not always, a den of anonymous trolls....looking for a response to play with
in an adolescent format where folks dont have to take responsibility for what they say..Apart from anonymuty folks sometimes type in other people names as their own just to stir up conflicts.
The problem is not limited to the VTAA lista but it is most glaring there.
I wish that this list required identification-it could make for more serious conversations on the art-though the net medium itself can cause miscommunications and flareups.

Hi Joy, I agree that's why I never visit there.
I was refering to the demo of three empty hand forms and a cross arms chi sau drill that was done after William Cheung's speech. I have it on a tape some one in attendence made. I never saw that demo on my VDC's
What is amusing is how closely some of the troll posts on the former-VTAA board match some of the troll posts here, in direction, content, manner, etc. Rather obvious in some cases.
Anyway, kudos to Phil. I make it a practice here not to respond to the troll posts any more. If everyone did that (regardless of who they felt the trolls were), things would go much more smoothly.
Don't waste your time, Phil. It's just a bunch of kids wanking off in between fringe-porn downloads and MMP game sessions, or cult shills who think barfing tough on the 'net will earn them special browny points from their leaders.
Sit back, play some sax, and leave them to their sadness and kool-aid.

Its not on my copy of the VCD either.
Keith
Yeah Keith,
right after William Cheung gives his speech Dana Wong introduces Bruce Corless and two of his students. Bruce does Biu Jee and his students do both SLT and Chum Kiu at the same time. Then right after that Dana announces the cross arms chi sau demo with Bruce and his student. I have a copy of the tape and was suprised that it wasn't on the VCD. I also didn't see when the 1st generation students of Yip Man gathered aroung YM's grave taking pictures and talking about old times. They probably had to make a decision on content because of file space on the VCD. I don't believe in any conspiracy theory....grin.
FWIW i think the vcd is poorly edited with no real underlying logic to it. In attempting to show a bit of everything they ended up with half of nothing. That said i think if one watches closely enough there are a few gems hidden here and there.

Hey Russell,
Running into both of them in a week's time, what a coincidence eh? I knew Dana from Boston and used to write him when he moved to Melbourne. Sifu offered me a position teaching there but I had my 8 kids at the time. It's to bad about the separation between Sifu and Dana.
There was clearly some very selective editing done for the VCD. Rumour has it that in the "original" cut, my speech to the Conference was completely intact, but when certain "elderly" members of the group took over the production, much was re-edited and removed, including all reference to my contribution to proceedings. Funny about that...
