    TCM for gout

I have been lucky enough to inherit gout from my father, and I was wondering how TCM would treat this condition.

    Any ideas?

TCM should be able to help but a large part of the inflamation from gout has to do with your diet as well as other things.

So, I would expect that treatment might involve herbs or acupuncture to rebalance things and tonify what is not where it should be.

Then, for a longer term treatment, I would expect that it might include a change in diet, tonifying herbs on some schedule, and Qi Gong practice.

All of which beats the heck out of chemical treatment with all of the possible side effects and allergic reactions.

Yeah, I've changed my diet pretty significantly to help is this. I am concerned about the possible side effects the chemical medication is having on my liver as I am now suffering from fatty liver as well.
