The Science of In-Fighting (which one?)

I found 2 different ones; which one is the one I should buy?

One was made in 1982, the other in 2000. What's the difference? Which one is better?

If you must buy one, buy the one in the format you prefer. One's DVD, the other VHS. I have the VHS version. Ask if there is more content on the DVD.

Well, are they the same video, just one a newer release?

The VHS is the 2000 one and the DVD is the 1982 one?

I think they are the same. Get the DVD version. Easier to navigate when you want to take a closer look at the details of motion.

    DVD wins by armbar.

You'll get better capabilities with the DVD version in terms of playback and longer media life.

Well, considering DVD was not around in 1982, I think the 1982 is when it was originally made . I own the VHS version, I might have to order the DVD version now.

I agree, get the DVD ('1982' version). No wearing out of the disk as you slow-mo the sections you are interested in.

I don't think there is any more material in the DVD version. Just seems to be a straight tape transfer and chapters defined for navigation purposes.

I wonder what has happened to the students (I presume) he demonstrated chi sau with? They must have been pretty good to appear in the video. Are they teaching now?

Well I know one of the tall skinny students in the demo is now teaching in Monterey Park. I give you a tiny hint. He is my present coach. =)

Thanks! Lucky indeed that I'm still in one piece. My sense of human frailty is never more acute whenever he uses me as his live demo. For the love of WC thrills and for the sheer entertainment of my nutty classmates, I endure it all with a quiet resignation. =)

One of the other guys in it is chen kim man (the guy that wsl sweeps)

my instructor often uses CKM as a paradigm of (almost) technically perfect wing chun. Having seen him perform some of the dummy form i would have to agree. 'Effortless precision' would be my clumsy description.
