    Underground Compitition

I was just wondering what Martial artitst who have exellent discipline feel about underground fighting organiztions? Does it matter how I contend? Though the fighting conditions are intense you really get the sense of your ability after you've faught. They tend to gain you some real good pocket money and you can wear mask and hide your identity if you wanted too. I just wanted to know the opinions of others on where you might stand on places like this existing without being public and done in secracy.
Style is only defined by the limitations of a system of fighting and defending. So when in medatation ask yourself not "what are the weaknesses of thine enemy" but rather so what are your own weaknesses

Underground fighting competitions are fierce, you must be of top condition to fight.
If you do not understand the way of chi blasts or swimming solely with your pectoral muscles, do not attempt to fight in an underground tournament, or someone will hit you with a technique that no can defense.
I like them, but I usually wind up having to knife someone on my way out the door.

    My take on it:

Underground fighting would be cool, but I honestly don't belive in them. At least not where I'm from.

I think it brings shame to the martial arts community.

But what I really want to bring attention to is your quote at the bottom of your post.
When your meditating you shouldn't be thinking of anything...as in nothing at all...as in complete void.

I though all martial artists knew that one.

yeah, Odin, I was there for that fiasco.

Shake just finished romping a 6'4" 250lbs dude. He finished it off with a camel clutch and gave the guy a serious sore neck. Anyways, on his way out ol' dudes mom starts getting crazy. She was saying stuff like, "You cheated! You cant choke him with a shoelace!" Shake informed her that she was out of line and if she didn't calm down she'd have her head shoved so far up her...well you get the point. She went to hit him and Shake pulled out a blade and shanked her in the stomach. Blood shot all over the place. People were slipping. Children were crying. Shake was laughing. I now fear for my life every time I hang out with that maniac. He's notorious for shanking people...a loose cannon I tell you. Stay away from him.

    streetfighting

to me streetfighting is a excellent way to excel your ways of fighting, but just be careful on what type of streetfighting that you do you contend. Some streetfights hold onto life and death situations which only the crowd has the power to let you live or die. In other words streetfighting is a great system to put your body and mind through for toughness. But it also holds the sins against teachings which you have been taught. just be careful

New York is good for underground tournament. And their are alot of competitors in CT but they are'nt starting rings over in this area. Winner of the tournament gets all the fighters entrance money ($500 a head) while the ringmaster keeps the audience admission. And to who ever spoke of the internet tough guy crap listen. IT'S THE FREEKING NET WHY WOULD I FRONT WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN LOCATE ME TO FIGHT ME, SOUNDS STUPID TO ME. i WAS JUST ASKING A QUESTION, JERK. I have seen some people leave compitition with broken limbs but not life taken away. If ye can't be serious at this paticular thread don't post. Tank ye' kind-lae'.

Pretty stupid if you ask me. I'll go ahead and take the high road here without caring if I come across as being arrogant, but then again, I'm not the one with something to prove.

I don't see the need for anything more than a regular tournament, personally. People in underground tournaments usually end up getting beaten much harder than in sanctioned tournaments, and the fact that any martial artist would compete in something like this, to show their skill, and win a few bucks, makes me pretty angry. We've all been given something special, and to use it in this manner, to me at least, is a disgrace. I don't know, I just don't believe in unneccessary violence any more.

But, if you are looking for trouble, try a college town...and don't be embarrassed when some barbarian knocks the everloving snot out of you. I have a buddy who used to fight in underground bareknuckles matches in college. No martial arts experience, and frankly, none needed. He's about 6'5", and 350lbs...and he beat the **** out of everyone he came across. If you want to deal with that in a no holds barred match, that's your choice.
