Combat Mindset Video and Study Aide

I posted this on my site for Kenpo people, but it's good stuff for everyone.


A couple of weeks ago, at Brian Duffy’s Texas Spirit Camp, Mr. Bob White showed all of the attendees Ron Sanchez’s “Combat Mindset Seminar” video. I, as well as everyone else I talked to at the camp, found this video to be a valuable tool to teach the attitude and awareness that is a fundamental for self-protection. Making yourself a “hard target” is more important than any technique, form, or drill than you can practice. And yet we spend relatively little time discussing it in class.

Mr. Sanchez has been a police officer for over 20 years. Check out <a href=http://www.bwkenpo.com/ron_sanchez.shtml target=blank>the Ron Sanchez Bio</a> on Bob White's website. I’m sure you will find he has more than adequate credentials to discuss the topic.

At the camp, Mr. White had a binder that went along with the video, like a study guide. Mr. Sanchez has been kind enough to email me a copy of that information, and has given me the permission to allow everyone to download it off my site. It is a Microsoft Power Point Presentation, and it’s zipped. It’s not too long at all, and is a valuable resource in and of itself. I know Mr. Sanchez is going to be selling this video, if he is not already. Do yourself, or your students a favor and show them this video. He makes allot of sense, and gives you some very simple, basic ideas that show what you can do to help make sure that, first, you are less likely to become a victim, and second, what you need to do when you have been confronted by a predator.
