    Real Time Chats on here

I think kungfumagazine.com needs an IM feature...
I also think it needs a real-time chatroom feature.

    What do you think?
The 10 Elements of Choy Lay Fut:
Kum, Na, Gwa, Sau, Chop, Pow, Kup, Biu, Ding, Jong

    The 13 Principles of Taijiquan:
Ward Off, Roll Back, Press, Push, Pluck, Elbow, Shoulder, Split, Forward, Back, Left, Right, Central Equilibrium

And it doesn't hurt to practice stuff from:
    Mounts, Guards, and Side Mounts!

    We had one originally...

...but it bogged down the system so badly that everyone complained. It's still on the backburner as a possible addition to the site, but way down on the backburner.

Personally, I'd rather just keep it like it is. Some of these discussions are great and I like the "permanence" of being able to access old threads. Real-time chat would be ephemeral.

Actually, I 'd love to add the chat room back.

I was the biggest proponent of the chat room. In fact, if anyone remembers our chatroom event where we had all of our staff online and were giving away a whole bunch of freebies, well, that was a lot of fun. That's was all staged by me and design sifu. Unfortunately, it didn't improve traffic signifcantly, and we are a business, so the bottom line was that it was a lost leader that lead nowhere. There are many other bigger concerns about our websites now, so I doubt we'll see a chat room here anytime soon.
