    Talking Entering my first tourney

    I'm entering my first tournament.

I'm going to get my ass kicked.

This is going to be so much fun!

    Awesome. Best of luck man.

Nothing quite like getting beat up in front of a large crowd!

I am thinking of finding (and entering) a Chinese kung fu tournament. However, I'll be using Muay Thai against them!

Unhappy So I got my but kicked.

Yeah, I kinda saw it coming.

Sad thing is that I was probably the 2nd best fighter in the heavyweight division. It just didn't help me against the best fighter there (who I faced in the quarter-final round).

Hey, every loss is a learning experience. Second place for your very first tournament isn't bad at all, in fact it's quite exceptional. There's hardly a champion around who climbed to the top without experiencing a few losses. It sounds like you went into the thing with the right attitude, so look at what you can improve on and do it.

That was the thing, officially I didn't get second place, I faced him in the quarter finals. My comment meant that had the seeding been different, I would have likely faced the same guy who beat me but in the finals as other than him, I don't think I would have had a problem (based on how they fought).

That being said, I am taking this as a learning experience. The lesson: WATCH OUT FOR BLOODY RIGHT HOOKS!!!
