I think Bujinkan is an organization, and Ninpo in an art.

I think there are better ppl to answer this question but who rarely post, however, bujinkan is a branch or form of ninjutsu, ninpo and tonpo are facets of the art, training mostly ( perhaps using bujinkan ninjutsu) the art of escape and evasion.
ninpo is the philosophy of the ninjutsu art
the Bujinkan is a ninjutsu organization. Bujinkan means "Divine Warrior Hall" The Soke of this organization is Massaki Hatsumi. I am currently a student in the bujinkan system and im traveling to Japan to train with Hatsumi Sensei and the Shihan this summer.
There is also the Genbukan and Toshin-do
all former students of Hatsumi sensei who broke off from him.
i would reccomend that you stay away from these schools and stick to Bujinkan. however whatever you decide is your decision.

Whatever you do, stay away from anything that tries to pass itself off as "Koga ryu," because they're all lying. Koga ryu died out years ago and now all the ninjutsu con men (Ashida Kim, Frank Dux, etc.) will claim Koga as their lineage.

Friendless Tool, why would you recommend against the Genbukan? Some people who study it really enjoy it.
