    Under the knife. . .

Tomorrow's the big day. ACL reconstruction with possible meniscus repair vs. removal. Needless to say, I'll be out-of-pocket with my training for a while.

    good luck.

fwiw, I tore my lateral meniscus this summer by a freak heelhook accident. (legs were tangled and i zigged, he zagged and my knee was stuck.)

I had the tear removed and was working out again in less than 4 weeks.

It's been less than 6 mo. now and I'm not 100%, but can do almost everything that I was doing before. although some things like walking up and down stairs still aggrivate it.

DO YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPY. take it very seriously. You will be recovering ahead of the projection.

Good luck man. Remember to ask for no anesthetic... you want to stare that surgeon in the eye when he cuts you, let him know he can't get away with it... no, wait, never mind... um Good Luck.

I'd ask how you know that, but I honestly think I'd rather not hear.

    Recent observations from Knee Surgery

    1. Britney lied: You do not get boobs from just having knee surgery.

    2. You really don't feel anything as long as you take the nice pills they give you.

    3. PTs get paid to hurt you.

    4. Your quad turns to jelly as soon as they cut your knee.

    5. Not being able to drive really sux arse

    6. I'll take sympathy booty as often as I can.

    7. Getting sympathy booty with my mom in town taking care of me reminds me of my high school days.

    8. It's amazing what you can learn to do while on one leg

    9. Horse stance training will suk that much more when I get the brace off.

    10. If I can get back to training in 6 months it will all be worth the effort.
