Warren Ellis is intriguing. Global Frequency had great ideas, and I've enjoyed most of Planetary. Somewhat like Morrison, I think he's an idea fetishist, who throws out more than he can handle with literary grace, often at the expense of character development, but for pure pulp/sci-fi, he's one of the best out there right now, IMHO.
