Saw the link on another forum. Thought the people here might enjoy. I study praying mantis but it's not a full praying mantis curriculum. You should feel lucky that you have a school like this in your area.

Dang, I used to live in Austin, TX.

Seems like a good school, and a good sifu. His kungfu looks amazing and seems like he would be an amazing teacher, and understands everything

No offense to my school, but if I was in Austin again, definitely would have to give it a shot

He's an incredible teacher. Of course, I'd naturally say that since I'm his student

But in this case I really mean it.

Very nice video. I can tell this Sifu can walk the walk! This reminds me of one of the things that impressed me about Mantis Kung Fu (I currently take 8 Step Preying Mantis.) It was the fact that the Sifu’s appearances were always deceiving. Unlike Karate and other hard styles you see no bent noses, broken knuckles, broken toes, cauliflower ears, etc. They look like your average all American school guys, and you wouldn’t think they could fight just looking at them. I fully know this not to be true (ouch.)

He looks nice and all in the video, but when you meet him face to face he doesn't come off as your average all American school guy. And GOOD LORD is he fast.

That video and this forum is restoring my faith in the Chinese martial arts, one mantis step at a time! I had to download the file over a 56K modem THREE TIMES as well as re-install Windows to watch it and it was still worth the work.

He has excellent technique, plus his explanations for working on forms wasn't the usual "if masters of the past worked on this, I'm not the one to argue." He has obviously put alot of thought into the CMA.

Does he have good students? Do they spar often, and apply what they learn? I'd love to see that!

    Piolt,
Question for you.......... would you happen to be a student of my kung fu brother peter ray?

Nice clip, I love to see people promote our art in a positive way.
