    Ok, but weren't the Zulu spears were shorter in length?

    Thrusting with a Chinese spear has one hand on the end and one in the middle to allow one to guide the thrust and then recoil taking advantage of the spear's length. YOu have the choice, then to keep the thrust closer to the body or extend through to reach out and touch someone.

    Chinese spear is a two-handed weapon with longer range.

    The Trojans and the Zulus used it as a one-handed weapon because they often carried a shield in the other hand. You get more power, but sacrifice range.
