    DVD vs MA books

What is your idea MA book?

Lots of pictures, apps, theories, classics?

Or DVD with text and audio and video info makes books obsolete?

If you do not have DVD player or access to a computer?

What aspects of MA are better told in the book format or none?

I was and still am so fond of Sun Zi (Tzu) and Sun Bin Bin Fa or the art of war.

Sun Zi was written on the bamboo sticks or Zhu Jian. They had to be carried with the general in the field. The writings are so straightforward with tactics, strategy and even with examples. There are 13 chapters. The king of Wu Guo or Wu Wang read them before plotting the fights or wars.

Sun Zi was almost like a field manual for generals. No excess wording at all.

This is the writing style I learned over the years. Yes in old Chinese words. Now the same manner sips into my writings and posts.

    dvd vs book, dvd wins.

video demo, audio/visual explanation on the fine details, you can't beat that with a book.

beside, ask yourself this question, if you had to teach someone through a book or a dvd, which one would you pick?

do you think you can get as much info across in a book as in a dvd?

of course, you can always include a dvd with your next book.

    both great

dvd for actual demonstrations and commentary

    book for theories, etc.

You can take a book with you almost any where

can't say that for the dvd
