    Sun,

'rest'- on call, getting killed by ED.
Maybe you should use a different short form or initials, LOL !

It's a soft call to say which is more unpleasant. . .

Very busy the last two weeks- life has been in high gear with vast unpleasantness, which appears to be smoothing out, and some preliminary good news on other fronts. Done with my ward obligations for fellowship, got offered the gig I wanted, now if the people I care most about in the world can stay healthy, it'll all be beautiful.

Life doesn't get easier as I get older; I just get better at managing catastrophes.

What I can remember of the last few days-

    Sat,

    Practice, 3hrs
    Pad work
    Lop+hit
    +pak+ hit
    +kao+ hit
    +tok + hit
    Both leads

    Man out on wallbag

    Inpak walking drill
    Inpak from lat sao

    Counter inpak from lat sao

    Sun,

BT CS- broke down 5th section, many reps, constructed a nice cycle to get the right force for shan sao from scissors gan
-2nd section- working the first few actions

    Mon,

    Elliptical 30min

    Workout #2).
    Covered main partner's class 1 1/2 hrs
Did some chi sao with the earlier arrivers, played a little rough, coached them with each other, gave them some openings, trying to get them to use footwork to get in the place to land a shot with authority not flail and play pattycake.

Moving structure linear walking vs. neck tie
Neck tie pummel drill (many rounds)
Neck tie pummel + knees (several rounds)

Answered questions and clarified some stuff at the end.

    Tues,

    Workout #1).
    Elliptical 30min

    Workout #2).
    MT
    Mobility
    Jump rope x3
    Jog/carioca/backwards/sprint/jump squats x2
Kicking/ leg conditioning drills- took about 4 rounds or so to do these, complicated pattern to catch a rhythm, and not a keeper, until we ditched the pattern, and just went light trying to fire as quickly as possible after getting hit without defending
Boxing-5 rounds, working with relative beginner with some size on him (230), he had a bad habit of looking at the floor the first two rounds so I worked on combis and pressure. Had to back off and just go 2 for 2, so I started working on firing my two as soon after his as possible to find holes. Kind of annoying not being allowed to split his timing, as that's pretty ingrained in me.
Kicking, singles and doubles on heavy bag, 2 rounds.

    Babying my left knee.

Did the first 4 rounds with one of the pros getting ready for an MMA match. Pretty happy with my defense, covering what comes in well, but need to work on my motion to take more off what's coming. Finding gaps and unexpected places to press the action. On both him and the other guy I noticed I should work on counterfighting off my attack more- attack, draw the counter, counter the counter. Started doing this on the second guy some to good effect. He was fun- fireplug, so I just hung out inside his range and let him work rather than use my reach. Had some fun landing lead round kicks to the ribs when he bulled in, and nearly sent him out of the ring when he tried some jump spinning thing for fun. Blast to work with, I'm looking forward to next time.
