San Jose Schools for fighting?? JKD?

I'm intersted in learning fighting,... JKD, muay thai or whatever. WHat good schools are in SJ?

I would prefer not kung fu because I am already familiar with it.

So just lookin for a few names for mixed martial art fighting. Not intersted in BJJ, just stand up, distance, locks, boxing etc etc

If you want to learn stand up fighting you happen to live near one of the best schools in the country that specializes that.

Before you dismiss it 'because its kung fu and youre already familiar with that', take into consideration that several of Cung Le's fighters currently hold the muay thai title belts for that region. Last summer i saw Cung's guy, Jose Palacious, knock out a top Fairtex mauy thai fighter for the title belt in about 10 seconds into the 1st round with a sick body slam.

And if you don't like Cung's school, there are other good schools in Oakland and Frisco, such as Oakland San Shou http://www.kungfu.net/oakland.html#location , run by Brent Hamby (a very nice club), Tat Wong's school, US Muay Thai, and Fairtex.

You have no shortage of good fighting schools in your area.
