Standing up I would go with Muay Thai-I believe it would be too difficult to trap the Thai-elbow&knees esp after a Thai-Round Kick to the leg
On the ground as I read earlier if you combine grappling with Wing-Chun you could trap the elbows alot better because they wouldn't have room to be as effective,whereas the short-range Wing-Chun strikes would be much better!

Take the best tools from both and call it a day.
To me it is hard to compare what art is better than another in combat because when it finaly gets down to actual fighting it has more to do with the physical conditioning of the fighters, situation and enviroment, awareness, experiance, combat range and countless other factors to be considered on a case by case basis.
To say that one generic art over another would be the winner of the two is not as importent to me as the men fighting each other and their attributes and training.
