Magic now eh? Are we going to soon be arguing lineages of magic instruction? I've got mine traced back to Max Malini.

Speaking of magic .. the movie Shade is awesome! All of the characters in the movie are named after famous magicians. Lay people get to see the inside of the magic castle. Stuart Townsend does all his own card work. And you get to see some of the sweetest card cheat sleights from a view normally not seen, through the bottom of a glass table.

    Magic.

Or I can answer, possibly 10 or more years of study and practice spending thousands of dollars for effects, putting up with numerous hecklers, mothers wanting to hire you out for birthday parties so you can baby-sit for them, and many late night jamming sessions with other magicians.
