I have a student who wishes to learn wing chun. If anyone can tell me the course description or how long it will take to finish the syllabus and if there are any wing chun teaches in sydney that teach private lessons.

Not sure if there is any teachers in Sidney but you can check out WingChunworld.com or something like that. I know the first form takes about 3months.

As to how long it takes to complete the system that can vary. I have seen some advertise completion in as little as two years and others where one learns for over 5. Most common is to complete the hand forms and the dummy but not finish the weapons or only learn the pole and not the knife.
The curriculum can vary but within the Yip Man lineage it should be pretty close to what is listed at this site if you look under TRAINING;
