more than you might ever want to know about asian archery.

DJ, I used to shoot a lot as a kid. From 8 years of age through 22-23.

Early on just your average fiberglass stick bows in 30# and 35#. then a compound that was 55#.

40# is going to do me ok and I think will be good rehab for the shoulder. PT's had me doing the same motion w/ the rubber bands.

I'm definitely going to have to play with the arrows to find a good weight.

"If you find the right balance between desperation and fear you can make people believe anything"

"Is enlightenment even possible? Or, did I drive by it like a missed exit?"

    It's simpler than you think.

    I could be completely wrong"

    Broadheads, think Broadheads

bodkins are probably the best for target practice, but for pure damage, go with the broadheads. 3 blades, razor sharp, *whiiiiiiiissshhhh tung gggggg* "message for you sir!"

I was taught how to build English style D-Segment longbows but I've only done a little shooting.

Did I see a drive by shooting in there too?
    LOL !!

I practice a little Kyudo when I was at the Japanese Culture center doing Judo and kendo and it was great fun, hard as heck, but fun nevertheless.

Yes I went a few times in the past.

You can only bring target arrows to that range, anything else is a steep fine, which makes senses. It's a wonderful forest perserve in the Fall btw.

I have been going there all last summer shooting with my Daughter. I am actually getting to the point where I am not always losing arrows now.

If you are ever interested in going shooting there, let me know.

    Sweet.
I have seen a few bows like that, some Mongolian ones too.
    Great power in them.
