    East or West

Which is true, eastern philosophy or western science. Eastern = kung fu and western = boxing. If you mix the 2 MMA (obviosuly) you get scrapping. Sifu alwas say, scrapping is only good for the scrap heap.

Do not rush judgement on something you duno.

Master Liu Yun Qiao once said that western boxing is very efffective and so I heard. We have to research it more and learn from it.

Bruce Lee had limited lessons on Wing Chun. He knew Kung Fu will contact and restrain a punching arm or kicking legs.

He merged boxing methods with Kung Fu stance modified. You punch and kick so fast. If you miss, it is ok. You have to retract your fists and legs as fast as you extend them. So Kung Fu stylist has no contact time to your arms and legs to start their stuff.

You also keep the distance after you land your attack and back.

Bruce Lee called his boxing punches "penetrating fists" Zhi Quan.

Front hand or rear hand Qian Shou or Hou Shou Zhi Quan.

My point is that east may learn the west and the west may learn from the east also.

India Buddhism is popular in China. Moslem cuisine, folksongs, fighting styles are popular in Northern China.

China has always been learning from everyone else.

You can punch fast but it lacks power. There is not enough grounding when it comes to boxing. good for scoring points thou.

boxing is not grounded enough and has no power?

you have never dealt with someone who has been trained well in boxing then if you think it has no power. There are some nasty hitters in boxing and they are light on their feet as well.

just because it is not kung fu and your teacher says it has no merit doesnt mean it has no merit.

Many masters some well known have trained in boxing as well as their specific kung fu style.

LOL. Nasty hitters - only with the fist. The injuries are superficial - 10 rounds and few times do ppl die. Kungfu 1 hit on a DM point and you can kill someone. LOL at nasty hitter - sigh - you underetimate what you can learn from TCMA LOL LOL

Yeah, few people die, like the woman recently in that million dollar baby like story who is paralyzed and messed up for the beating she took.

Ray boom boom mancini killed a korean boxer with one blow.

And you pull the ole dim mak out the bag.

Yeah dim mak is nice. Not going to be able to hit those little points when some mean ole mother is coming to take your head off and put it on a stick.

You might think you could, but I know you cannot.

Oh, I am working towards finishing my masters in Oriental Medicine. You know nothing about TCM nor TCMA. But thanks for posting, always a pleasure to see why people need to use prophlyactics.
