    Stance Keeping with San Ti

Santi being the very core of training and development that cultivates many of the qualaties essential to the development of martial ability in Hsing I. Right now, I am holding San Ti at least 15 minutes per workout session. Currently, on top of my busy schedule it is hard to fit in any more time. I was curious to know how many Hsing-I Chuan practitioners out there, at an average, hold the San Ti stance? How long?

I do the stance for 40 minutes a day, 20 minutes on one side, then I switch to the other. My teacher said it's probably better to do 25 on the right and 15 on the left though since that's the strong leg which gets the most work. I've had to build up to that though, at first I could barely do 4 minutes on a side.

Practice until you get past the burning, it is a strange place you'll find yourself in.
