    I want your input **please**

I have practiced rope dart for about 3 years, I started with a half pound dart
and worked up to a 3.5 pound dart. Now I want to try something original
or at least I think it's original I want to take about 9ft of rope and attatch
a full sword "handle too" to the end. obviously it would have to be double edge
and balanced with a design that stops it from spining, I'm thinking shorter
blade maybe 1.5ft long 5 or 6 lbs.

I was curious what the forum thinks about this weapon idea, assuming it
doesn't already exist. and I can get it to work.
if you know any links I should view before attempting please post the address.
    please post any helpful comments/concerns

i think you should then stick with dart type instrument.

put a four point blade about 1 foot long on there.

you know, kind of like the head on a phillips head screw driver, only long and all the way up the shaft. practice with a dull one, of course.

maybe even fabricate it at first out of wood. will be much more easy to make. and you can then judge its effectiveness.

this will not only be a unique weapon, but it will be completely custom.

Ill even let you name it.

    but use rope.

this way you can pierce and cut, cutting becomes easier due to the multi sided blades. using a double edge would be much more difficult and could result in undesired effects.

I was thinking the same thing, it's name will be "BOB".
so should I stick with having a shorter blade, I was thinking that I won't be able
to do moves with anything over 2ft, what do you thing 5inchs of handle
and a ft and a half of arrow head designed blade

that sounds pretty good, and vicious.

the handle is a good idea, you can always grab it and use it like a blade, even cut the rope off if it becomes a problem.

thinking to make it practicle and useable i think the four side blade would be more effective.

    great minds think alike.

you could also think about attaching aweapon to the other end to, wield it like dual whip chains. and switch to single style when ever you need.

just a thought, while we are creating weapons why not keep adding. lol

I wouldn't want anything to large because I'll be spinning the rope in
increasing faster arcs, what about brass knuckles with a small spike protruding
from the bottom of them off the end by your pinky finger, and spikes on the back
of the hand and knuckles, "hammer fist, back fist, punch"

ive been thinking about crafting a leather glove with capped finger tips shaped like that of a claw.

just to have the ability to make my tiger style completely deadly. you know, just in case.

so kinda like freddy kruger-* his were leather and copper home made*

I had a idea too: I want to disassemble a stun gun and have the prongs from
it come out of the palm on some rubber/leather gloves. have the on switch
    be on a belt.

    thats a handy idea.

you ever see interview with a vampire?

that scene where tom cruise has that claw type thing on his thumb to pierce that prostitutes throat, i mean like that on all five fingers. just mild claws, so i can still make a fist. just enough to make tearing and rending a million times easier.

we should just fabricate an arsenal for the modern day ninja

I like the idea of a short gim on the end, but if you put it on the end of a chain whip, you will have twice the fun.

I'll take pictures of "bob" and post those, and If I can find someone
who has the right stuff I'll post a video of "bob" and i. just don't laugh to my face
if I lose an arm or finger.

*PANGQUAN* the leather should be reinforced with extra leather in the palm.

That may be a bit much to ask...
