I am so glad somebody else posted these. The first clip was mine but I totally botched it in the editing process. First I overcompressed so it was too blurry to be useful and then when I went back to do it again I botched the sound but had already deleted the original. Never using Dazzle again for TV capture. It hogs to much memory. I had 15 minutes of Video taking up several GIG's on my hard drive.

I love how first everyone complains that all styles look the same when they fight and as soon as some people show up who actually demo moves and techniques from their style it's decried as fake.

It might be "the suck" but it ain't fake. I've talked to people involved with the event. I even talked to one of the provincial heads in Shaanxi province about participating. ...or he asked me if I wanted to.

The rules are kind of dumb but it's not fake. Neither were the other ones.

    Thumbs down

    oh please

you have two guys from the same school desperately trying to make it look traditional... and in order to do so, no head punches (yeah, that's realistic LMFAO) and they are going less than 50%

If it was a real competition, with head punches, with one guy trying to win, it would NOT look like this

That beign said, even here, what happens when one guy does something to the other? After all the dancing and posturing, someone gets thrown, with techniques you can find in pretty much every style known to man, ie nothing unique here

    and it's **** poor entertainment

    everything is new and experimenting.

the same style Lei Tai fight is a good idea.

no weight group is a bad idea. the heavier weight competitor may have advantages at throwing, lifting etc.

    --

if the rules stay the same long enough, people will come up with tactics and strategy for less heavy players to deal with heavier ones.

    --

the kicks, knees, and punches may be meant only to get points and not seriously to injure your opponent.

a throw or a push out of the stage will gain a lot of points.

Thx for posting those! I thought they were great. Barefisted and not wasting time rolling around on the ground like a couple of boys in heat.
The fighters may not have been the best in each vid, but I liked the leitai format.
Of course I am not a know-it-all, so I could be wrong.
    Keep the vids coming!

martial arts convention or Wu Lin Da Hui.

They host one style for one month. At the end of 4 weekly comp/fights, a winner will be produced.

this is to promote different style each time.

  11. Looks very cool. Please post the vids when you can. Your efforts are appreciated.
Its nice to see fighters really using their art instead of just b@stardizing it for competition.

    Ouch

I guess i had better get my footage of real baji full contact done as soon as possible before it gets the reputation of being a show like wwe or ufc.
To start with that is not a baji fighting stance that is the end of a punch we train.

these guys might be baji experts in every sense but the fire and lights and glitz is not helping their cause. niether is the bloodless matches. Regarding an art that my great grandmaster used to historically kill many people.
