I would definately recommend the original anime; Blood: The Last Vampire. Its not a vampire flick really. The main character just happens to be the last vampire. Which is really just a way for her to be super human and remain as a teenager. It's really just a teen age girl that uses traditional katanas to dispatch shape shifting 'demons' that have infiltrated a high school off the yokoto american air base pre vietnam build up. only a well forged blade is strong enough to cut their hides, thats why she uses old katanas. Its one of the early uses of digital animation along side traditional. I remember being pretty impressed when it first came out and wanting more when it ended. To my shame, I have not watched the live action, or the anime series, both were spawned from the original.
