Those that are the most sucessful are also the biggest failures. The difference between them and the rest of the failures is they keep getting up over and over again, until they finally succeed.

    Thanks!

I tried it, but it does not seem not be working! My browzer (Both IE, and Firefox) just lock up when I run the scan.

    Now what?

    that's a good question.

    try another browser? netscape?

if your virus is messing with your browser you may want to do a little reading at teh site first seeing as they likely have some info on what to do when that happens.

I sent them an e-mail, and a copy of the infected file. We will see where that gets me.

    That was a joke right?

BTW, did you try deleting it while in safe mode?

No, no joke, they have a form for doing just that.

No, BUT I think it is an infected Windows file, so I don't think I should delete it.

    me, im an antivirus luddite.

but trendmicro has a pretty good track record and the few sec-tech gurus I know would use trendmicro before norton or mcaffee or others.

rd, im pretty confident trend will have a solution for you.

they may also try to sell you one of their products, but that's up to you and of course it's to be expected.

    avast

go for the free home version. it works well for me.

it has an option to set for a boot scan. it will scan at boot up, before any programs get a chance to start up.

this has found and removed several trojan viruses on my comp.

It's not. It's just that there have not been any destructive ones...ever.

Been using a mac for 20 years, never had a virus ... not once.
