Thread: The best commercial

  1. #16
Of all our beloved TCMAs, the one thats been truelly butchered is Taijiquan. Most (Im gonna borrow that Family Guy word again) "normies" aren't even aware its a martial art. The Tai Chi situation is just as messed up as Yoga. Alot of the so-called Tai Chi instructors dont teach anything that bares the slightest resemblence to the original art. You mostly see alot Native American chanting, scented candles, and the like.

On a sidenote, a little while back I saw an advertisement for "Yo-Chi", a "fitness" system that combines "Yoga" and "Tai Chi".

So I'd say that the "New Age" has dragged Tai Chi through the dirt as much as Yoga.

new age thought had good intention i think. It just got superceded by lazy people who now fill the ranks.

they don't seem to want to put forth real effort and will opt for the pill solution.

people want everything to happen instantly. from meals to headache relief and so on. There is less understanding that anything worthwhile takes time and effort and can't be rushed.
Kung Fu is good for you.

Since it's a Japanese commercial, I was *almost* afraid that last guy was gonna try to lick her foot or something.
