    Interesting Bajiquan applications clip...

SevenStar: It's hilarious seeing people's reactions when they see a big, black dude with a sword walking toward them.

Masterkiller: Especially when they're at the ATM.

WTF? How did we go from the White Haired Devil strangling and beating guys to death in a teahouse, to Mr Miyagi and Jhoon Rhee?

i like those clips. i have never seen bajiquan before. it looks like a very interesting style. where did it originate? (i know i can look it up but i am being lazy.)

The first clip is about big twirling or Da Chan. You rotate your arm around the shoulder and/or elbow joint to restrain or attack.

There is also the small twirling around the wrist joint. It is then called Xiao Chan or Chan Wan (wrist).

The last clip Lian Shou Quan meaning linking hand forms.

It was a very old style. Some thought it may be originated some thousand years ago. Since the moves are direct and straight forward and there are no flowery moves or excessive/needless moves.

There was a place called "Ba Ji Wo" or nest of Ba Ji fist. Every one practiced Ba Ji there.

It was popular in Cang Zhou area He Bei Province.

Some thought it was originated from Hui or moslem Chinese.

Some said from Shaolin or Daoists, too.

    hi;

I am waiting for the first hard copy of the book in a few days.

The production department "finalized" the "art" and Chinese characters.

It is a long wait since May.

The book will be available some time next week.

It is searchable inside both at Amazon.com and google book search.

    edit:

the pages are colored in grading shades.

Chinese characters are in the background.

    etc. It looks very nice.
