    Sil Lum Tao

Hi, i was just wondering about how long you would do the Sil Lum Tao? Considering it is where you could get some stance training (well offcourse not just, but it is easy to stand up high when training on other stuff), i think it is importante to sink as much as possible to get the proper training from the form.
As Sigung Garry McKenzie would say: "Think about how much you actually stand upright a day, it's really not much..."
Anyways, i was just wondering about your thoughts about it!?

That's a daft thing to say! Dunno about your average American but I stand straight a lot during the day!

I think it's important: I like what my koryu sensei said, which is maybe similar to a lot of Chinese 'internal' training - "How can you (be expected to) fight if you can't stand (properly)!?"

However, without associated moving stance practice and resistance-based training it's meaningless.
its safe to say that I train some martial arts. Im not that good really, but most people really suck, so I feel ok about that - Sunfist

Sometime blog on training esp in Japan
