    CHEN BING SEMINAR IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

    Rockford Chen Taijiquan and Hyde Park Taijiquan have open registration for the upcoming Chen Bing seminar to be held at the University of Chicago.

    Master Chen Bing is a nephew of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang and famous for his push hands skill. (Three times National Push Hands Champion from China, three times first place winner in push hands and Taijiquan in Henan: Wenxian, China and two times International Taiji Competition Gold Medalist.)

    Topic: Saturday: Eight Energies, exercises and usage
    Sunday: Movement corrections (focus on the silk
    reeling and applications)

    For the first time in the Philly area Master Chen, Bing will be teaching a workshop on Taijiquan Combat….



    Topic: Day 1- Bridging the gap w/ applications

    Day one will consist of methods of gaining contact against various attacks and also some application counters will be shown.



    Day 2- How to apply Qi (chi) in Push-Hands & Qinna

    Day two Master Chen will teach how to apply Qi in Push-Hands practice as well as show some Qinna (joint-locking) methods.

    Born in 1971, Chen Bing grew up in Chenjiagou, Wenxian County, Henan Province, China. He started his Taijiquan lessons from his two renowned uncles, Grand Master Chen Xiaowang and Grand Master Chen Xiaoxing at the age of 6. Between 1990 and 2000, Chen Bing gradually received recognition through his participation in the regional, national wushu tournaments. Currently, he is the headmaster of Wenxian County Chenjiagou Taijiquan School.

    Master Chen Bing's first visit to Fort Lauderdale,Florida will cover an overview of the Chen Style Taijiquan training.

    Day 1:
    • Preliminary Exercises for Strengthening, Flexibility, and Joint Opening and Loosening
    • Postural Alignment, Grounding Ability, and Receiving and Issuing Force
    • Entry Techniques and Footwork
    • Body Positioning for Maximum Efficiency Against One or More Individuals

    DAy 2:
    • Distancing and Using the Whole Body for Combat Principles
    • Fajin (Explosive Force
    • Combat Applications of Chen Taijiquan Principles
    • Chinna (joint locking)

    Phoenix Chen Taijiquan Gongfu Center wants to welcome back Grandmaster Chen, Xiaowang for 2 nights of in depth study of the Idea of Jin(Internal Strength) within form training.

    This workshop is for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
    Grandmaster Chen will provide hands-on individual corrections to standing
    stake posture, and then he will use the postures of the 19 Form to
    illustrate how to build Jin (internal strength) in our movements. On day
    two, we will continue to develop our Jin, as well as learn how to apply
    these movements in martial applications.

    Strength) in the 19 Form Movement

    Day 2: 19 Form Movement Building Jin & Applications
