    Kan Dao

    Hi

Does anybody know something about the historical background of the Kan Dao or just general information about this weapon. I included a picture of the weapon to make sure there are no name misunderstandings.

    Thanks ahead for any contributions.

    How about dadao?

We had some discussion of the kan dao's kissing cousin, the dadao, a while back. Check out this thread and that thread. Also check out the article I did on it, Xingyi's Dadao: The Lost Legacy of the Big Blade Troop, in our Mar Apr 2006.

Yes. We always have great admirations for Da Dao Dui.

They fought at the great walls at Xi Feng Kou. There is a monument built at the location. They would came down from the great walls and ambushed with Da Dao.

Especially under Gi Xin Wen regiments.

They were later stationed and fought at Shanghai, too.
