Jo Wilcott is A) a very nice person, B ) very, very good at Kung Fu and C) fulfills both the classical and modern roles of "Simo".
The issue of how to address a female kung fu instructor is always tricky, as Simo IS the feminine form of Sifu, but the historical/cultural implications of it as an idiom means it is used to refer to a teacher's wife. However, it is the best word available and commonly understood.
wats classical and modern roles of simo?

simo is ur sifu's wife. its not a rank, its a title

i find it funny that she was officially ranked by DFW to the 'rank' of simo
unless DFW is doing marriage ceremonies aswell then i can understand wat she meant by officially ranked(u may kiss the bride) haha

as everyone has said above, she should be ranked as sifu. its ok for her students to call her simo( if she is married to the sifu)

btw, are they married or are they brother and sister, coz they would be so so wrong to call her simo

    hahaha

As far as I know there are no Amish communities in the UK. why?
Personally I believe we Brits are too much of an aggressive society to follow a pacifist life style.
