Here's the interesting bit... he was sentenced to be 'hung, drawn and quartered', but he had been 'racked' so badly he could barely stand, and whilst climbing the scaffold to the gallows, he fell off and broke his neck...
Yeah, it was a bit of a farce all the way through.
