    question for virginians

    http://www.wingchun-richmond.com/default.asp

anyone know if this school is any good? and do they teach kids? my cousin is interested in starting to learn MA and i am trying to find a school in richmond that is reliable, affordable and isn't too far from them so his mother won't have to go too far out of her way to take him. i thought a few months worth of lessons might be a good christmas present for the kid. any help you all can give is appreciated. thanks.

    100% Virginian Right Here.

-Does your cousin live in the city of Richmond or the suburbs?

-How old is your cousin? What is his maturity level?

-Why did you choose Wing Chun for him?

-Why do you think he will enjoy this as a Christmas present? For example: Is he being bullied at school? Just enjoys Kungfu movies? or Does he need to be disciplined?

I was looking around and checked out both.

    Thumbs up question for virginians

    BruceSteveRoy,

I am not a Virginian (am on the West Coast) but I can tell you that the person who runs this school (John Kang) is very good indeed. He was previously based in Oakland California and learned all his Wing Chun skills in Taiwan from Lo Man Kam directly.

All I can say is he is (in my opinion) an excellent teacher. I would encourage you
to contact him for a prior appointment and go speak with him directly.
