I actually enjoyed the film. Obviously, the acting is as expected. However, the choreography was great. Really nice fighting sequences. Zhang lipeng definitely showcased a shaolin flare. It was particularly fun to see him use the monk handstand in a fight-twice I thought the ending was overly dramatic. Based on the trailer for his Chinese film, it seems he has an affinity for tragedies
All I can say is I did enjoy the fights, as for the rest of the film, well, lets just say everyone needs acting lessons.
