    I have no idea

When Shi Decheng comes to my area, I host him personally, so I take care of his expenses out of my own pocket. I organize a seminar for him and all the fees go directly to him. I've always worked with my disciple brother Dr. Rich Russell of russbo.com. Rich usually does the heavy lifting when our master visits, taking care of his expenses and travel to other locations than Vegas. Of course, given my position here, my relationship with all of my teachers is very unique, so I can't really give you any kind of scale on what Decheng might charge someone else.

    Hi Gene.

I understand perfectly of what you are saying. When the opportunity arises, I will ask him to come to Mexico.

    Thank you.

Got to talk to Decheng yesterday

He's being hosted at Jade Forest in MA by Scott Jeffrey. And by strange Shaolin fate, an old friend sent me this video.

US Open International Martial Arts Championship XII

Shawn Liu (Deru) is hosting both Shi Decheng and Shi Deyang at this event in Atlanta in two weeks. Several disciples are planning to attend, including myself, Xinghung (Doc), Xingda, maybe even Shi Xinghao. Scott Jeffrey said he might go also. Anyone else headed to Atlanta for this? Depending how the election goes, it may be a good time in Atlanta.

    I just heard from Doc

Unfortunately, he had to drop out. No Xinghung Shaolin church meetings. That's good since I'm plumb outta $20s.

Gene... it's always a good time here... especially with a corporate expense account...

I look forward to seeing you all

Good news about Xingying. I just heard from Decheng - he may have a scheduling conflict. We'll see if Deru manages to convince him.

    Hey Rage,

Shifu said he might go. He thinks the tickets are expensive. He said you wanted to go too. I am thinking about going as well for the seminars. So if we go we can probably share a room. But I probably would only go if Shifu goes.

The website says the seminars are $50.00 pre registration or $75.00 at the door. And $300.00 for the whole enchilada.

hvillarruel's post was from 11-30-2007. That was in regard to an earlier discussion, not for Shawn's tournament specifically. I ttt-ed this for the US Open International Martial Arts Championship XII on 10-21-2008 10:33 AM.

Hope to see you in Atlanta!
