Charlene stance is awesome...I wish I had such low and flexible stances.

One thing though...the "Pek gwa dan dao" looks more like Jing Mo's "Ba Gwa dan dao" perhaps it was mislabelled?

Just a thought.

Iron Silk,Ijust repeat what Mark Ho Sifu said..pekwa means chopping while pakua means 8 directions...the pekwa dan do form only goes in 6 directions.
Also the human only has 2 legs and 2 arms (there might be exceptions lol) so how much different can movements be? No,this form s really pekwa dan do...

I didn't mean to offend anybody...to each their own.

For the record though I do know the difference between and meaning behind "Pek Kwar" and "Ba Gwa"

- I just wanted to add -

that in the Jing Mo system (not just my own) that sets "look" very close (i.e. move for move in that very order) with some different interpretation on how it is played & of course the slight change in certain moves direction to make it "8" direction instead of the obvious "6" direction displayed on video

pek kwa dao is a very generic name so many styles would have their versions.

no offense taken and sorry when my post came across like that...

I actually only know the one pekwa dan do form but Im sure there are more..like there are plenty of mui fah kuen forms...now u saying that theres a lot of similarities so who knows maybe one of the forms is the origin,the source...forms always develop as they are passed on from generation to generation...
Our pekwa dan do comes from Malaysia originally...from Ho Kam Wai.
