    Question about Rising Crane Video

    Hello,

I was wondering if anybody knew the name of the fist form at 30secs into the video and the saber form 1:20 mins into the video?

    Thanks for your help!

The fist form is called Su da mo (I may not have that spelled right). I'm ashamed to say I've never learned the name of the sword form. (you know how it is; Sifu rattles of a string of cantonese syllables for its name, then when everyone looks blank just calls it the long sword-form.)

The sword form is called "Hap Gar Gim Dao" and contains movements characteristic of both the straight sword and broadsword. The traditional hap gar sword is similar in shape to a Japanese katana, but it is lighter.

Thank you both for you replies! Much appreciated.

The sword is similar to katana? actually I was refering the set that was traditional chinese saber (not the one near the end) unless I am mistaken?
